I enjoy working with demolition and I would like to further myself with a career doing that. Summary of qualifications 2000- 2004 United States Marine Corps Varies COMBAT ENGINEER§ As a combat engineer, we are responsible for knowing foreign and domestic land mines, emplacement of obstacles and destroying them with various types of demolition. I have used electrical and non electrical detonation systems, TNT, C-4, Composition B, Dynamite. We also learn on how to booby trap anything and everything. Work experience 2003-2004 USMC/1st CEB Camp Pendleton CA Battalion Training NCO§ Responsibilities included sending over 300 Marines Temporally Assigned Duties, anywhere’s from 1wk to 4 months. In doing this I had to get the Marine(s) the school seat, book travel arrangements, and get funding for the Marine to go to the school/ conference. It was also my responsibility to conduct and monitor over 700 Marines annual, semi annual, and quarterly training. With in doing this I also had to work a lot with very high ranking Marines such as COL, LTCOL, SGTMAJ, and many other high ranking officials. I was also an independent worker, there were many times that I would have to work with no supervision. 2002-2003 USMC/1st CEB Camp Pendleton CA Squad Leader§ Responsibilities included preparing a squad of 8 Marines to go over to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom, even though I was unable to go with my fellow Marines I still took responsibility to train junior marines in land mine warfare, patrolling, demolition (expedient, calculated and urban). I was responsible for their safety, moral and welfare, ensuring that all their personal and military affairs were taken care of before departing. 2001-2002 USMC/3rd CAB Okinawa, Japan Squad Member§ Responsibilities included, the basic duties of a combat engineer. On a daily basis we would learn about demolition equations, emplacement of land mines, and other duties that a combat engineer would perform to support an infantry unit. 1999-2000 Chase Pitkins Rochester, NY Lumber Sales Representative§ Responsibilities included working in the lumber department. I was in charge of closing the lumber department at night, ensuring the area was ready in the morning to the on coming crew. I also sold various types of lumber, windows, doors, and child play sets. I would go on site with the contractors watch the progress of the home being constructed from ground up. I would also go along with the contractor to meet with clients and sit in on business meetings with various cliental and architects, electricians, plumbers, and other construction workers.
